Selection and Installation Guide for Automatic Door Anti-Pinch Sensors

Anti-pinch protection is a top priority in automatic door safety design. Currently, mainstream solutions on the market include three types of sensors: microwave radar (detecting approach), infrared light curtain (detecting the door opening area), and safety edge (detecting contact). It is recommended to adopt a redundant configuration of "radar + light curtain" or "radar + light curtain + safety edge" to ensure reliable anti-pinch protection under any working conditions.

Installation points: Microwave radar should be installed 2.2-2.5m above the door leaf, with an adjustable detection angle of 15°-30°; the transmitter/receiver of the infrared light curtain must be aligned, with a spacing not exceeding 20m, and the installation height should cover 200-2000mm; the safety edge should be installed at the bottom and sides of the door leaf, with a trigger force ≤50N. All sensor wiring must use shielded cables, routed separately from the motor power cables to avoid electromagnetic interference.
